Five Flaming Hotties… Yowza, I Guess?

So, um, tee hee! I mean, ahem, this is probably the most, um, interesting (that’s the word) blogger tag thingy I’ve ever been, uh, tagged in. Ha ha ha, yeah… be cool, Ellen. Okay, I’m allegedly a mature adult so I think I can handle this in a somewhat professional manner. Let’s try this again, shall we?

flmain hotties

Shout-out to thethingsiveseenblog for nominating me for this amusing blogger tag. It was a while ago, like November 2017 while ago, but better late than never! Oh and if you haven’t checked out this awesome blogger yet, I suggest you do. They do very cool drawings of movies and stuff! You should totally see their Chibi Pyramid Head too. Adorably creepy (I’m not brave enough to play or watch anything Silent Hill related).

The official rules are:

  1. Mention the name of the blog you were tagged by, as well as the creators of this game Realweegiemidget Reviews and Thoughts All Sorts to all blogs involved and including the picture above (Top of Post).
  2. List five of your greatest hotties from TV and/or film, i.e. crushes/objects of your affection, including musicians or sports stars too.
  3. Tell us how you were introduced to them and why you like them/what appeals.
  4. Add some appealing pictures.
  5. Tag seven bloggers for their Five Flaming Hotties.
  6. Post the rules.

So, Rule #1 and #6 are taken care of. I will be bending Rule #2 by going with video game characters. I will be breaking Rule #5 by not tagging anyone specifically – if you want to do this, consider yourself tagged! To be completely honest, I don’t really crush on people like 99% of everyone else in the world does, but here’s my best answers to Rule #3 and #4:

1) Alistair – Dragon Age Origins

Aw! Such an adorable dumbass. I just want to hug him and bash darkspawn with him.

Oh, AlistairGrey Warden Ellen’s dorky knight man. I love how awkward and caring he is. Yep. He makes awful decisions, and he can be a stubborn dumbass sometimes, but he is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save people (a trait I admire). He is also very entertaining, treated my Grey Warden like the warrior goddess she was, and he was always there when I needed him. I’ll never forget the part where we had to bust out of jail together. Good times. I think he would make an awesome partner and best friend for life! Or at least until the Calling time happened.

2) Snow – Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy

From wannabe hero to broody zero, all in a mere 500 years.

When I first met Snow I honestly wanted to punch the idiot, and I was more than pleased when my shero Lightning actually did… at least twice. Oh and Fang smacked him around a lot too which was also very entertaining! But anyway, despite his annoying traits, the big idiot’s heart is always in the right place. I honestly think he just puts on a show to hide how miserable and hopeless he truly feels. And just like all the other amazing characters from the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, Snow really grows a lot and overcomes his faults. After certain things happened Lightning Returns (spoilers so I can’t say much), I had developed a soft spot for the sorta-still-an-idiot. He’s truly meant for Serah (they are my favourite Final Fantasy couple) and I love how he would do anything to save her. Snow just needs to stay out of his sis-in-law’s way.

3) Ezio Auditore da Firenze – Assassin’s Creed

Non temete l’oscurita – acetate il suo abbraccio. (Fear not the darkness – but welcome its embrace)

Now this is character growth to the max! Not gonna lie, I really hated Ezio at the beginning of Assassin’s Creed II. He was just another generic playboy who cared about nothing other than his next, um, conquest. Depressing events take everything away from him, forcing him to evolve from a vengeful assassin, to a Roma rebellion builder, and finally into a mature Master Assassin. I love the Ezio who truly cares about the people, learning about the past, and changing the fate of the world around him. My favourite quote by him highlights why I admire him so much:

“To say that nothing is true is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions and that we must live with our consequences, whether glorious or tragic.”

I also love his voice, complete with badass Italian accent! I always have subtitles on in games (I have moderate hearing loss issues) and this provided me with amusing translations, thus teaching me some Italian while assassinating things (like telling certain bad people to F off, for example). Eccellente!

4) Isabela – Dragon Age II

She likes big boats, she cannot lie.

Yarr!! Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a pirate captain (Wind Waker’s version of Princess Zelda is my favourite, by the way). Isabella is living my dream. Not only is she an ass-kicking pirate, Isabela just does whatever (and whoever *ba dum tsss*) the hell she wants, whenever the hell she wants to, because life is just too damn short. Yeah… she betrayed my Hawke (more than once) but we still stayed BFFs! I can tell she truly cares about people, even if she refuses to admit it. Actions speak louder than words, and what happened at the end of Act 2 proves to me she cares. Heck, I even dueled to the death for her once or twice. Proof that true friendship can survive anything life throws at it! I do plan to do some Dragon Age II ramblings in the future so I will be praising the pirate lady again, soon-ish.

5) Varric – Dragon Age Inquisition

I do aspire to be a great self-loathing writer.

Varric is just fantastic! I’m about 70+ hours into Dragon Age Inquisition as I type this (haven’t rambled about it… yet), and Varric has been a frequent member of my crew (along with Cassandra and Solas). He’s hilariously sarcastic and calls things how he sees them (well, when he isn’t withholding valuable information from a certain Seeker). Varric was my Hawke’s BFF in Dragon Age II, and now he’s my Inquisitor’s BFF in Inquisition. I love close friendships that span multiple games! My favourite thing about Mr. Manly Dwarf is that he only cares about his “crossbow”, Bianca, and wants nothing to do with romancing player characters. Yet, he’s smart enough to cash in on the entire love craze by writing, um, Cassandra says it better than me:

I’m nowhere near finished Inquisition so I’m excited to learn more about Varric (and Bianca) soon!

That’s all folks! Again, if you’re reading this and want to do this, consider yourself tagged! Let me know and I’ll update this post with a link to your wonderful website. 🙂

Wannabe Writer’s Notes:
– I think I’ve been corrupted by BioWare… help!
– I have a ton of tags to do still. I’m thinking I’ll do a tag post every Friday until they’re done, eh. Thanks again, cool blogger people!
– I’ve purposely used the tag “hotties” in this post as an internet experiment. Wanna bet this will become my top viewed post ever? Thanks in advance, nudey internet spam bots!

And as always….

⚡Thanks for reading!⚡

  1. Alistair – totally. Charles Martinet? Yes. Lara Croft? Of course, I love the puerile objectification of women based on body parts! Earthworm Jim? God yes, he is so hot! Luigi? Would you lew-i… no, my wordplay machine ran out, Jeff.

  2. I bent the rules too, by picking anime characters. Gasp! I didn’t expect to see Snow in this list. Ezio is probably the best of the Assassin Creed protagonists. I hope that EA don’t shut down Bioware. I worry for their future after Andromeda’s poor sales.
