My Secret Blogger Valentine Is…

Happy Half-Price Chocolate Day Eve, internet!

Valentine’s Day is definitely not my most favourite of “holidays” (putting it nicely because I’m nice), but Ian over at Adventure Rules has created this neat blogger event around Cash In On That Love Thing Day. Basically, you signed up last week and then randomly got assigned a blogger to, well, blog nice things about on Feb 14th. Sounds fun, eh! So, who did I get?

Well, none other than the legendary Thero159 over at A Reluctant Hero! I’ve been following her for a while now and I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve had the privilege to read. X-Men: The Animated Show episode recaps, Assassin’s Creed topics, reasons why I should avoid FFXIV so I don’t get addicted to another glorious MMO… My words really can’t describe Thero’s level of blogger awesomeness. Here’s a small sample of Thero’s greatness so go see for yourself:

So yeah, just go follow Thero’s blog, if you aren’t already. 🙂

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go find some Easter eggs… what? Fine. Enjoy your lovely day, you crazy lovebirds!

  1. It’s funny that you called today Half-Price Chocolate Eve because the day AFTER Valentine’s is the one my wife and I celebrate, haha.
There is a great blogger and you brought up some excellent posts here. A few I haven’t read came up too, so I’ll have to check those out when I get home from the office today. Thanks for participating in the event, and being a good sport about it falling on a pretty cruddy holiday. I hope this made it a little better for you!

    1. That’s smart. Enjoy Cheap Chocolate Day with your wife! 🙂

Thanks! I’m a bit cranky and sarcastic about this day. I think the over commercialization of it makes single people feel horrible, and couples pressured to find the perfect gifts for each other, etc. Thank you for creating a fun blog event around it! There’s lots of blogger love here on WordPress, that’s for sure 😀

      1. Yeah, the holiday has morphed into a pretty nasty thing when you get right down to it. I think that’s why a lot of couples and singles I know don’t take it seriously – if we did, it’d be torture. No one could ever live up to the expectations it sets.

    1. Thank you! I was hoping the Easter Bunny would come early but I haven’t found any eggs yet, haha.

Oh and I think you’re the one who got stuck with me. I’ll go check out your post soon. Thanks for writing it! 😀

  2. Aww, thank you for writing this post! By the way, this doesn’t mean I won’t stop trying to tempt you into playing Final Fantasy XIV. You’ve given me a chocolate craving, so now I’m going to have to indulge in some half price chocolate tomorrow…
