New Swag: PDP Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Limited Edition Figure Set

I’m now officially a fan of Mirror’s Edge. Today, I cleared the main story,  and I intend to get all the non DLC Achievements before I’m done with the game. I’m also pumped for the release of the new game, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, on Tuesday. Sadly though, my backlog continues to grow out of control, and the last thing it needs is another free roaming game… Oh well.

I was browsing Amazon when this awesome 3 pack of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst figures caught my eye. They were cheap, and have a limited print 3,500, so I decided to go for it.

I have no idea who Kuma or Icarus are yet, but I’m sure I’ll find out soon!

I’ve decided that I will be keeping them in the package, for now at least. I really like the Faith artwork on the packaging, and the way the cardboard backing slants at the top. The reverse side also has a brief bio on each character. The 1/20 scale figures look great inside their plastic enclosure, especially with the crisp red Mirror’s Edge colour scheme behind them.

I wasn’t expecting much in terms of figure quality, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they surpassed my expectations. Faith, Kuma, and that Icarus guy are all highly detailed. They did a great job of capturing Faith’s tattoos, and Icarus looks all mysterious with the hood and shades.

Each character’s metal base is numbered, and I got 2,203/3,500 on my set. This is definitely an impulse buy I’m happy that I made. I would highly recommend these to any fan of Mirror’s Edge that likes video game related swag as much as I do. They do seem to be selling slowly, but they will be gone eventually.
